A: There are many reasons that you should fly with our company. The most important is that we are an FAA Part 135 approved air carrier. This is very important as there are many companies who may appear to offer a similar service, but are not legally licensed to do so. In order to qualify for licensing, an air carrier must adhere to strict FAA guidelines regarding aircraft maintenance, pilot training, and general operating procedures. Do not ever travel with a company that cannot provide you with their FAA Air Carrier Certificate. Additionally, for travel into the Islands of the Bahamas, the air carrier must hold a Bahamian Operating Permit. For carriers operating internationally, the carrier must also be bonded by U.S. Customs. All of these licenses signify to the customer that the airline is operating within legal guidelines. In addition to the obvious legal reasons, you should fly with Prestige Jet Charter because of our concern for our customer and safety. Q: How much advance notice do you need prior to take-off?

A: We will generally require a three hour minimum time frame to put our crews and equipment into place. Of Course -- the more advance notice we get - the better. However, our license does read "on demand"!

A: Charter reservations can be made via the "Request a Quote" Section on this website or by calling direct to our Ft. Lauderdale office (Toll Free 877-938-9508) Keep in mind that we will need all or most of the information listed in the "Request a Quote" Section. Q: What airports do you use?

A: We service over 5000 aiports nationwide. We can suggest departure and arrival points based on your itinerary. We can also suggest certain airports and FBO's that will enhance your comfort and/or minimize your costs. Your convenience is our prime focus.

Q: How much baggage can I bring?

A: The amount of baggage allowed will depend on the type of aircraft you will be flying, the distance, and the approximate weight of each passenger in your party. When flying small aircraft, the weight and balance of the passengers and luggage are critical to the safe performance of the aircraft. We will collect this information from you when taking your reservation and let you know how much baggage is allowed.

Q: How do I pay?

A: All payments are to be made prior to take-off. Prestige Jet Charter accepts transactions in U.S. dollars only. Traveler's Cheques, Checks drawn on a U.S. bank, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express are all accepted means of payment.

Q: Will the aircraft wait for me? How does this work?

A: The aircraft is scheduled according to the needs of the customer. Based on your itinerary, and cost factors, we will decide whether it is most efficient for the aircraft to wait for you or whether it should return for you at a later date. Generally speaking, for one and two day trips -- it is almost always more economical for the aircraft to wait. Longer trips (in days, and mileage) are evaluated on a case by case basis.

Q: How many pilots will I have?

A: The number of crew members will depend on the type of aircraft chosen for the trip. In most cases, you will have both a pilot and co-pilot. The exception is the twin engine aircraft. In these aircraft you will generally have only one pilot. However, co-pilots are almost always an available option.

Q: How do I get to the airport?

Q: Is there airport parking?

A: Airport parking is available and is generally free at general aviation airports.

Q: What documents will I need to fly internationally?

A: Each passenger will be required to carry an original birth certificate, and picture identification, or a valid passport. The pilot is legally required to make certain that you have these documents prior to boarding the aircraft. Boarding will be denied if you do not have one of these documents.
